My name is Sarah, and I live in Berkshire, UK, alongside my two children and two cats.
Sewing is my true passion, which ultimately inspired me to establish BlueCat Quilting.
Starting my own craft business has always been a dream of mine. While I have explored various crafts in the past, my heart truly lies in sewing and the art of reusing and recycling scrap materials.
In August 2023, I transformed our garage/playroom into the BlueCat Quilting Studio, where I could accommodate my new HandiQuilter Amara Longarm (though I had already acquired the longarm before the renovation!). Now, 20 months later, BlueCat Quilting is launching, and the construction work.... is almost complete.
BlueCat Quilting will specialise in patchwork, applique, and longarm quilting, while also offering insights into the daily life of the studio and the quilting community in my area. I proudly belong to Newbury Market Square Quilters and The Quilters Guild.

Mimi from Cats Protection 2 years ago - she loves to chase cotton reels and bobbins and closely inspects my sewing.
Cleo adopted from the RSPCA a few months ago - she just a year old, but hasn't had the best start in life so is still settling in.
