Since my Advent window theme this year is ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas,’ I thought today would be appropriate to share the second part of BlueCat Quilting Christmas, showing how the quilts were finally displayed.

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!

My window unveiling was scheduled for December 3rd at 5:00 pm. I rushed home from work to complete the finishing touches, fortunately, most things had already been arranged in the days leading up to the event. The mulled fruit juice was gently warming on the stove, mince pies were baking in the oven, patchwork cookies were wrapped ready to go and my Christmas elves were waiting to reveal the window… The only thing left was for the local residents to arrive, and they certainly did not disappoint.

A wonderful crowd gathered on my driveway as Magdalen, the Newbury Living Advents Organiser, began the countdown to unveil the window. I was busy moving around, so I didn’t manage to take any photos of the reveal, but thankfully, my friends captured some moments.
